Dr. Molly Shea, DPT, RYT, PCES | Founder
Hi! I’m Molly Shea. I founded Breathe In Motion Wellness on the strong belief that every person deserves to feel good and keep doing the things they LOVE! After working in the traditional health care system for several years, I grew tired of the “sit and wait” approach to injuries and being confined by the restraints of insurance companies dictating patient care. I believe we need to shift our focus to lifestyle medicine and prevention of injuries before they become a bigger issue!
Our treatment approach at Breathe In Motion involves the entire body to identify problematic areas that may require further attention and lead to inefficient movement. Your left shoulder pain, right low back symptoms and right knee pain may all be connected. Our team of therapists will find the central link and tackle a problem before it becomes painful or limits your function. We know the whole body is connected so we will treat your WHOLE self.
My dream is to provide a space where you feel heard, supported and loved. A space where all of our therapists have a wide variety of tools and training to address the entire kinetic chain. We want to change the narrative of healthcare for female athletes across the lifespan. We’ll pair you with a therapist that will best suit your specific needs and goals.
We’re excited to embark on this life changing journey with you to help you find the best version of yourself. It’s time to take care of YOU. Let’s crush those goals that you didn’t even think were possible. We are going to support you every step of the way.
DOCTORS OF PHYSICAL THERAPY
Dr. Stephanie (Stef) Smith, DPT, OCS
Brookfield Clinic Director
Hi! I’m Stephanie Smith, a doctor of physical therapy and orthopedic clinical specialist. I am also the clinic director here at Breathe In Motion. I have worked as a physical therapist for the last 10 years and have enjoyed helping my patients with a variety of orthopedic injuries, ranging from head to toe. My focus during sessions is to use my manual therapy interventions, dry needling techniques and overall functional exercise to help patients to improve their movement and strength to attain their personal goals. Ultimately, I want every patient to be able to work towards levels even better than their previous activity.
Throughout my professional career, I have earned a Wisconsin Physical Therapy Association Award for my contributions to the profession in my first 3 years of practice and became a Board Certified Orthopaedic Specialist of physical therapy in 2016. I have advanced training in manual therapy for the spine and both upper and lower extremities and am certified in dry needling. Areas of further training include treatment of headaches and jaw pain, dizziness, pelvic health, and pregnancy and postpartum exercise.
I truly love the challenge of treating any problem a patient presents to me and working to establish any interconnections between other past and present symptoms. I am passionate about not only treating the current problem but empowering my patients to look to the future and help prevent further injury. I love providing the framework, exercises, and resources to help patients feel in full control of their future and overall health.

I also became a CSCS and CNC throughout this time. Additionally, I have over a decade of experience coaching gymnastics across various age groups and skill levels.

Dr. Melissa (Missy) Hunter, DPT, PCES
Hi! I’m Melissa Hunter, a doctor of physical therapy with a specialty in treating pelvic health concerns during pregnancy, postpartum and beyond! In addition, I love treating orthopedic concerns and solving complex pelvic pain concerns with a unique whole body approach to care. My career began 10 years ago in the hospital setting, where I had the opportunity to care for women in the labor and delivery unit. My curiosity to treat throughout the entire pregnancy and postpartum journey shifted my focus in 2019 to the outpatient clinic setting. This provided me with a great opportunity to treat the whole person by integrating a wellness and prevention approach!
I have completed extensive training in treating pelvic health concerns, giving me a wide variety of skills to resolve leakage, back/SI or pubic pain, pelvic pain, symptoms of prolapse, pregnancy preparation, recovery from delivery and return to exercise! I also have extensive training in dry needling & any orthopedic concerns to integrate the entire body into treatment. I am extremely grateful for my journey and I take an immense amount of pride in giving each client the opportunity to explain their story and be a collaborative provider to meet their overall goals!
I also have a long history with the sport of gymnastics! I started at the age of 5 and progressed to level 10 in club gymnastics in the metro Milwaukee area. I continued my athletic career at Winona State University as an all around collegiate gymnast until I graduated in 2010. Gymnastics has been a very integral part of my upbringing, has provided me with many opportunities and I am excited to remain involved in the sport by treating athletes! With my experience in the sport, I understand the high level of demands that athletes place on their body on the intense pressure to perform at our very best. It is my joy to partner with athletes to not only get rid of pain but help them perform at their full potential.

My sessions include a mix of manual interventions, dry needling, and tailored exercises to address each individual's deficits to improve their function and prevent injury recurrence.
I have completed continuing education both in dry needling and pelvic coursework, earning my ICE Pelvic Certification. With my skill set earned through this certification I am able to help patients with leakage, pubic pain, prolapse symptoms, c-section recovery, and aches and pains that come along with pregnancy. Dr. Shana Lockard, DPT, PCES
Hi! I’m Shana Lockard, a Doctor of Physical Therapy who specializes in both pelvic health concerns and orthopedic/sports conditions. My husband, a true Arizonian, and I enjoy staying active together, whether it’s lifting at Be Fitness, going for walks or runs, or playing pickleball. Family time is incredibly important to me so any time spent with them is time well spent for me!
Growing up, I loved playing tennis and even taught at the Oconomowoc Lake Club during a few summers. BODYWORK & PERFORMANCE THERAPISTS
Maggie Zoeller, CPT, PTA, Pilates Instructor
Hi! I’m Maggie Zoeller, a licensed physical therapy assistant, certified personal trainer, and pilates instructor. I am passionate about helping performers, athletes, and individuals of all fitness levels reach their full potential without pain or limitations. I utilize hands-on, manual therapy techniques like cupping, active and deep tissue release & mobilizations in combination with Pilates & exercise progressions to help you crush your goals and perform even better. My unique skill set and background allow me to take a very preventative approach towards physical therapy treatment; taking clients to a whole new level of fitness.
After graduating from UWSP with a BA in dance, I danced professionally with the Milwaukee Bucks and performed as a professional dancer and aerialist around the world with Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines. I grew up in the Waukesha area as a competitive gymnast at Midwest Twisters Gymnastics and a competitive dancer at Accent On Dance. I found a passion for fitness and wellness while living an active athletic lifestyle. I became a CPT and Pilates reformer instructor during my time in the dance program at UWSP.
While performing with Royal Caribbean as an aerialist and acrobat, I experienced an injury that required me to be sent home for further medical attention. After receiving a CT scan, I was told the severity of my injury would likely end my career as an aerialist and acrobat. After four weeks of physical therapy, my prognosis was proven otherwise. Physical therapy allowed me to return to my work as an aerialist stronger than before my injury.
My passion for physical therapy, injury prevention, and overall wellness grew during my rehabilitation journey. It is my honor to provide the highest level of care and positively treat each client towards reaching their greatest physical goals! During and after your rehabilitation, we will work together to bring you back to your full potential for performance. My additional skill set in strength training and programming, pelvic health, and manual hands-on techniques provide a unique skill set here at BIM.
I am looking forward to working with you to achieve your goals and beyond!
Kristin Darga, CPT, PTA
Hi, I’m Kristin! I’m a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant, certified personal trainer, and former professional dancer with a deep passion for helping individuals move better, feel stronger, and live pain-free. I enjoy working with a diverse range of patients, from performing artists to individuals of all fitness levels. My approach is comprehensive and tailored to each person's unique needs to support long term well being. I incorporate techniques such as: assisted stretching, soft tissue mobilization, therapeutic exercise, and Pilates-based conditioning. My focus is on educating dancers and patients about body mechanics and postural alignment to enhance movement, improve efficiency, and prevent injury. Whether you're working on rehabilitation, flexibility, strength, or just striving to feel your best, I’m here to guide and support you every step of the way.
My passion for movement began when I started dancing at the age of 3, igniting a lifelong love for performance and the art of movement. This journey led me to earn a BFA in Dance from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, which opened the door to an amazing 15-year career performing in Disney stage productions and touring internationally.
A few years ago, I had to step away from the stage due to a chronic back injury that kept me in and out of physical therapy for a year. While therapy helped with the pain, I struggled to regain full strength and longed for a therapist who truly understood my body as both a dancer and athlete. Nevertheless, through persistence, tailored rehabilitation using Pilates techniques, and learning to listen to my body, I fully recovered and returned to performing. This experience inspired me to pursue a career in physical therapy, blending my background in movement and performance with a desire to provide the specialized care I once needed.
I believe everyone has the ability to move better, feel stronger, and live life to the fullest—no matter where you're starting from. I’m excited to join you on this journey and can’t wait to help you elevate your flexibility, strength, and overall performance! Let's work together to unlock your greatest potential!
