Myofascial Release & Cupping Therapy in Brookfield & Mequon

Release what’s stuck. Restore how you move.

If your body feels tight, achy, or “stuck” in certain areas—like no amount of stretching seems to help—your fascia might be holding you back. At Breathe In Motion, we offer Myofascial Release and Cupping Therapy to address deep-seated tension, improve movement, and restore full-body balance.

Whether you’re a high-performing athlete, a desk-bound professional, or a postpartum mom, these manual therapies are the missing link between pain and performance.

What Is Myofascial Release?

Your fascia is a web of connective tissue that surrounds your muscles, joints, and organs. When it gets tight or restricted, it can cause pain, poor mobility, and compensation patterns throughout your body.

Myofascial Release is a hands-on massage therapy technique that:

  • Targets stuck or bound fascia
  • Improves blood flow and tissue hydration
  • Releases chronic tension and tightness
  • Enhances range of motion
  • Relieves pain at the source, not just the site

It’s slow, intentional work with real results—especially when stretching and foam rolling don’t cut it.

What Is Cupping Therapy?

Cupping Therapy uses gentle suction to lift the skin and fascia, promoting:

  • Increased circulation to tight or inflamed areas
  • Lymphatic drainage and detoxification
  • Muscle relaxation and pain relief
  • Improved range of motion and mobility
  • Faster recovery from training or injury

We use dynamic cupping (movement with the cups on) and static cupping (held in place) depending on your needs. It’s completely safe, and yes—you might get temporary red circles. But trust us, they’re worth it.

Conditions We Treat with Myofascial Release & Cupping Therapy

These techniques are highly effective for:

  • Chronic neck, back, and shoulder tension
  • Hip and glute tightness
  • TMJ/jaw pain
  • Postural restrictions
  • Scar tissue and adhesions (especially post-surgery or postpartum)
  • Overuse injuries (shin splints, tendonitis, IT band syndrome)
  • Recovery from intense training or competition
  • Stress-related tension and fascia “tightness” feeling

Why Choose Breathe In Motion?

Our therapists don’t just “rub where it hurts.” At Breathe In Motion, all treatments are:

  • Performed by Doctors of Physical Therapy or trained assistants under supervision
  • Backed by movement assessment and clinical reasoning
  • Part of a comprehensive care plan—not a standalone service
  • Customized to your sport, lifestyle, and goals

We treat the body as an interconnected system, not isolated parts.

What to Expect at Your Appointment

In your one-on-one session, we’ll:

  • Evaluate where fascial restrictions are limiting your movement

  • Combine hands-on therapy with targeted movement and mobility work

WHAT CLIENTS HAVE TO SAY

I’ve been seeing Stephanie for a shoulder injury. I appreciate her extreme care, her thoughtfulness, and most importantly her use of creative approaches to relieve the pain and help my shoulder heal. My number one goal is to avoid surgery and with Steph’s help, I have my best chance!

This place is an absolutely amazing place to get Physical Therapy. I have been to many different medical facilities, and nothing has compared to the treatment that I get here. At first it may seem like a lot with the cost, but they will work with you, and it will be worth it in the end. I have done only 4/5 sessions so far and we have gotten more done than doing twenty sessions under insurance at a hospital system. The ladies that treat you here are super nice and understanding.

Molly is incredibly knowledgeable! I saw her for pelvic floor health for my second pregnancy. She asked questions I haven’t been asked before and did a thorough evaluation to try and get to the root cause of ailments I had with my first pregnancy. She exudes passion for what she does and stressed the importance of prevention. She never made me feel silly for asking questions and explained what and why she was doing in a way I could understand. I would absolutely recommend Molly and Breathe in Motion to any pregnant and postpartum mamas!

AD

I’m a mom of two young and very active little ones. I had on and off low back pain since my last pregnancy and everyday life with my kids was becoming more painful and frustrating. I started therapy with Molly and was so impressed with her kind and compassionate demeanor, her knowledge, the quality of and her practice based on treating the whole person, listening to needs and helping achieve goals. I am back to chasing my kids and being active without pain! Molly is absolutely wonderful! So grateful.
