Curious about what makes Breathe In Motion a top choice for physical therapy in Brookfield and Mequon? Explore the details below to help you feel more informed, supported, and ready for your wellness journey.

At Breathe In Motion, we go beyond the standard PT model. We provide 55-minute, one-on-one sessions with a Doctor of Physical Therapy who is an expert in your sport, lifestyle, or activity. No techs. No double-booking. Just focused, individualized care that actually gets results.

We don’t just treat pain—we identify and fix the root cause. Whether you’re recovering from injury, optimizing performance, or preventing future issues, we’re with you every step of the way. We also practice what we preach, staying active in the same movements and sports we help you return to. In addition, we partner with you for the long game, offering personal training, pilates and myofascial release for recovery and prevention.

Our approach to physical therapy combines clinical expertise with personalized treatment plans that support long-term healing and performance.

At your initial appointment, one of our DPTs will:

  • Perform a comprehensive evaluation and diagnosis
  • Treat the root cause of your symptoms
  • Provide hands-on therapy and corrective exercises
  • Educate you about your condition
  • Build a custom home exercise program and treatment plan

You’ll leave with clarity, direction, and a personalized plan to move forward—no fluff, no guessing. From your first visit, you’ll experience intentional care designed to help you move better, feel stronger, and stay injury-free.

Our team is constantly expanding our skill set with new certifications, cutting-edge tools, and research-backed techniques to ensure you’re receiving evidence-based physical therapy that delivers real results.

Treatment options may include:

Your plan will be personalized based on your goals, sport, and stage of healing. Whether you’re recovering from a sports injury, dealing with chronic pain, or building strength after surgery, we offer the right mix of recovery techniques and performance tools.

We recommend wearing comfortable, flexible clothing that allows movement and access to the area being treated. Think:

  • Shorts for lower body treatment
  • Tank top or sports bra for upper body care

Your therapist may need skin-to-skin contact for manual therapy techniques to be most effective.

While every client’s needs are different, most of our clients complete around 10-15 sessions and then join our membership. You’ll progress through our signature three-stage process:

  1. Calm the Storm – Reduce pain and inflammation
  2. Fix the Root Cause – Identify and correct the underlying issue
  3. The Long Game – Build strength, prevent recurrence, and exceed your goals

You’ll likely start seeing improvements within the first few visits, but completing the full plan ensures results that last. We’re here to support your full rehab journey—from early relief to long-term performance—through every step of our proven treatment process.

We offer 1:1 personal training with a licensed physical therapy assistant or athletic trainer who is an expert in your specific sport or activity. This is based on a membership model. We believe that consistency is key to achieving long-lasting results, building strength, and ultimately accomplishing your goals. Our membership model is 4, 8, or 12 times per month. We also offer a myofascial release service, which is similar to a massage but geared towards recovery. Less relaxing, more therapeutic and performed by a skilled therapist.

These services are designed to complement your physical therapy plan and support overall movement, healing, and strength-building beyond recovery.

We are an out-of-network physical therapy clinic—on purpose. We accept HSA and Flex spending but do not bill your insurance directly.

Why? Because insurance companies shouldn’t dictate your care. By remaining out-of-network, we can:

  • Give you full-length, one-on-one care without rushing or cutting corners
  • Provide advanced treatments not covered by most plans
  • Help you return to high-level sport, activity, and performance—not just “functional” status

We believe in a preventative, proactive approach to health, like bringing your body in for a tune-up before something breaks down. We’re here to help you feel strong, capable, and in control of your health for the long game.
